A hard drive failure, a stolen laptop, a ransomware attack or the accidental deletion of a folder – data loss can bring an entire company to a standstill. I design and implement backup of company data, which allows you to quickly recover files.
What am I insuring?
- staff computers and laptops
- servers and NAS devices
- data in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- databases for accounting and sector-specific software
The 3-2-1 Rule
Good backups are based on the 3-2-1 rule: three copies of the data, on two different storage media, one of which is stored off-site. This ensures that the data is protected even in the event of a fire, theft or encryption by ransomware.
Playback tests
A copy that cannot be restored is not a copy. I regularly check that the backup is correct and test data recovery.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is data in the Microsoft 365 cloud no longer secure?
The provider ensures the service is available, but does not protect against accidental data deletion or attacks on your account. An additional backup is recommended.
Does a backup protect against ransomware?
Yes, if at least one copy is isolated or immutable. That’s how I design solutions.
How much does a backup cost?
It depends on the volume of data and the solution chosen. Once I have analysed the situation, I will present a few options.
Let’s talk about your needs
Do you know how long it would take you to recover your data following a failure? The service is available as a one-off service or as part of IT support packages. Please get in touch with me – I’ll assess the situation free of charge and suggest a solution.
